On 1 March Stop Climate Chaos held its first public event, a lobby of parliament, and Tearfund supporters were there in force.
The day started with an inspiring prayer event, with worship led by Andy Flannagan, before a rousing rally which included a passionate cry from Tearfund's President Elaine Storkey calling for people to start to live their lives as an expression of love.
Cross-party participation
The lobby hit home with all three of the UK's leading political parties with the Environment Secretary Margaret Beckett, Conservative leader David Cameron and all three Liberal Democrat leadership candidates making it a point to attend.

'I have never been to anything like it. At other campaigns events it seems like we are battling against the tide. But here we were discussing ways we can move forward together', said Rachel Megoran from Winchester.
Success
The event has already achieved success, with the Prime Minister inviting delegates from Stop Climate Chaos for a meeting with himself, the Chancellor and both the Environment and Development Secretaries to discuss the coalition's proposals.
