G8 summit in Germany 6-8 June 2007

Campaigners gave Tony Blair a good send off on Saturday
The world’s most powerful leaders met in Germany for their annual G8 summit.

These leaders have a lot of work to do in combating global poverty.

In 2007, some 5,000 children die every day from drinking dirty water and more than five million people living with HIV and AIDS still do not have access to medicines. Lives are being lost needlessly.
