On the ground - case studies

Tearfund supports programmes that empower communities to develop or improve their own water supplies and sanitation facilities.

Across the world Tearfund, working through local churches, is helping to provide clean water and basic sanitation to millions of people. Tearfund partners are also involved in hygiene promotion - making a significant and lasting difference to health and well-being.
A visual tour de force of Tearfund's work in Ethiopia.
Tearfund's Tom and Jay visit the work of partners who are working hard to make clean water and sanitation facilities available to communities for the first time.

Two stories from communities in Ethiopia where Tearfund partners have been able to bring about transformation through hygiene training and a simple filter device.

One story where there has not yet been a solution to the desperate need for water or sanitation.

We are Christians passionate about the local church bringing justice and transforming lives - overcoming global poverty.
So our ten-year vision is to see 50 million people released from material and spiritual poverty through a worldwide network of 100,000 local churches.
