Gift Aid and forms

We're helping to provide clean water

Gift Aid

Through the Gift Aid scheme, Tearfund can claim up to 28 per cent tax from the inland revenue on every £1 donated by UK taxpayers. You can find out more about it here and make a Gift Aid declaration yourself here.

Make your church's donation go further

You can Gift Aid church donations you make together too, so long as we know the amounts that the UK tax payers in your congregation have donated, and we have a Gift Aid declaration for them.

You can download and print out your own copy of our Gift Aid form to send in with any donation here. Or you can complete a Gift Aid declaration online.

Making a collection?

The easiest way is to use giving leaflets and get people to make a Gift Aid declaration on the form. You can then send the donation from the church together with the empty envelopes/forms in to Tearfund and we can do the rest. The tax reclaimed will be used to help fund the whole of Tearfund’s work.

To help you do this you can:

  • Use Tearfund giving envelopes available from the resources shop
  • Order a resource pack which contains giving envelopes. The resource packs can help you with other parts of the service and come with a DVD to show people where their money is going to be used to make a difference.
Your church's details

Keep us up to date

Do let us know of changes in your church. We keep a record of people in your church who are:

  • Church leader
  • Church treasurer
  • Church administrator
  • Church representative
  • Mailing contact (who receives mailings on behalf of the church)

Keeping us up to date means that we can send the right information to the right person. It reduces our costs and it means the right person is always in the loop.
