Malnutrition

To live a healthy life, we must eat and drink enough food containing key nutrients. Without the right balance of food we can become weak, vulnerable to disease and even die.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) believes that everyone has the right to adequate nutrition and to be free from hunger.

Malnutrition is unacceptable in a world where there is enough food for everyone, but the distribution of food is unfair.

Hunger and malnutrition are not only medical concerns, but are also rooted in poverty and discrimination.
