Autumn 2007 update

Children all around the world love playing football, but for Juan, enjoying a match here with his friends, it’s not just for fun.

Juan features in this season’s Children@Risk update, coming from the world’s highest city, Potosi, in Bolivia. The fresh air and exercise serve as a vital counter to his hours working in the mines, helping him to stay healthy so he can continue with his studies and hopefully face a future where he no longer has to work in such dangerous conditions. In the background looms Cerro Rico – the ‘mountain that eats people’.
