Community Mission Partnership
Community Mission is a partnership started by Tearfund and Livability, formerly the Shaftesbury Society.
Both organisations have decades of experience of working alongside people affected by poverty, and pursuing justice in the UK and across the world and both are passionate about the unique role that the local church plays in continuing Jesus’ mission to bring good news to the poor.
We've come together in partnership to help churches and Christian groups grapple with issues of injustice and poverty, and see how they are intrinsic to a biblical understanding of mission. Find out how your church can engage with this work here.
Just People?
This six-week interactive course brings together down-to-earth theology, reflection, inspiration and experience with practical exercises. It will help your church explore issues of justice and poverty and think practically about how they can respond effectively as an integral part of their mission. A highlight of the course is a ‘day of action’ organised by the course participants inspired by what they have been exploring. Find out more here.
