Tearfund’s income has always come mainly from individuals and churches in the UK and Ireland. It’s important to us that we work with the church in the developed world to empower the church in the developing world.
Tearfund is keen to keep churches informed of our work. We produce three resource packs a year for churches, each one focusing on a particular theme such as children or clean water. These are available in time for harvest, Christmas and Tearfund Sunday in March and are always designed with a wide range of audiences in mind. With informative videos, OHP sets, leader’s guides and much more, they’re ideal for use in a family service, home group, youth group or even on a church retreat. You can browse the packs available and order them online at our resources shop where you will find a wide range of other resources for churches. And for the rest of the year there are posters, collection envelopes, donation boxes... you can even book a Tearfund speaker!

Your church can work alongside Christians abroad such as Tearfund partner charity Neicord which is helping families in north-east India grow more diverse crops.
Last year UK and Ireland churches provided 11 per cent of Tearfund’s income.
There are plenty of other ways in which your church could get involved with Tearfund: take a look at our volunteering opportunities, prayer resources, or resources for youth groups.
