Country Representative - Angola
Could you design and implement an effective strategy for Tearfund’s work, acting as a Country Representative in relation to Angola. The role involves strategic planning; management of a partner portfolio; resource management; leadership and staff development; along with ensuring all aspects of in-country security and health and safety. You will have substantial proven experience in community development, predominantly based in a developing country; strategic planning and thinking; leadership; project management and evaluation; and budget management.  You will also be able to write and communicate effectively in Portuguese. The role will be based in the UK.  It will include up to 10 weeks’ travel per year.  The nature of the role will require the successful applicant to apply for a Criminal Records Check (CRB).

Micah Challenge Intern

  • How would you like to contribute towards the work of God’s Kingdom and help eradicate global poverty?
  • Gain work experience in a vibrant Christian environment?

Micah Challenge UK is seeking an enthusiastic and committed volunteer/intern to join the team in providing practical support for its initiatives, programmes and campaigns.

The work will involve some research, report writing, participating and contributing to campaign actions and events developed by Micah Challenge UK.

Highly motivated, you will need to have an understanding of global poverty issues.

 

Applicants would be expected to participate full-time for a minimum of three months, preferably six months.

 

Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
