Be a Firebrand for Fairtrade

Are you a keen bean when it comes to Fairtrade? Are you impressed by the fact that it has started to improve the quality of life of more than seven million farmers around the world?  Are you excited by the potential for the number of producers involved to increase as we buy more Fairtrade?

There are tons of resources available to help spead the message about Fairtrade to the rest of your church, your friends or to your colleagues at work.

Here are a few ways to help you do that:

  • Have a look at Fairtrade on the Youth website, get your youth group talking about Fairtrade.
  • The 2008 Church Action Guide with Bible readings, reflections and prayers to incorporate in a church service during Fairtrade Fortnight.
  • Become a Fairtrade Church and join more than 4,000 Fairtrade registered churches who have committed to serving nothing but Fairtrade tea and coffee and to expanding the range of products that you use.
  • Or find out more about Fairtrade at Work

Find out more

Here are a couple of things you might like to pass on:

  • The first Fairtrade viral computer game! Have a go and pass it on.....
  • If you have enjoyed the challenge of the Fairtrade Bakeathon, you might be interested in the newly released Fairtrade Everyday Cookbook (published by Dorling Kindersley) with the best recipes from across the country.

We are Christians passionate about the local church bringing justice and transforming lives - overcoming global poverty.
So our ten-year vision is to see 50 million people released from material and spiritual poverty through a worldwide network of 100,000 local churches.
