Women and children are always the most vulnerable in any humanitarian crisis.
UNICEF estimates more than 75,000 children in Ethiopia are suffering from severe acute malnutrition and need therapeutic feeding.
Without food aid, the number of children suffering from malnutrition will rise and pregnant and lactating mothers will not have enough food to be able to breastfeed sufficiently.
Malnourished children face a range of medical complications which can result in starvation and death if not treated in time.
