Christian relief and development agency Tearfund will be hosting a number of live events across the country this autumn, to thank Christians for their commitment to tackling poverty and show them how God is working in the world’s poorest communities.
“Each year we feel overwhelmed by the support of Christians, who help bring about real improvement in the lives of some of the world’s poorest people through their prayers, financial support and time spent as volunteers,” says Anne McCabe, Tearfund Head of Volunteer Management, “We want to thank Christians face-to-face and show them how God takes their individual contribution and achieves miracles with it. We hope they enjoy the evening but also that they leave feeling enriched, inspired and refreshed.”
The events, known as Tearfund LIVE, will give supporters across the country an insider’s view of how they fit into the bigger picture and how lives are changed forever. During the two-hour interactive event, the world of Tearfund will come to life through worship, special guest speakers, a photo exhibition and the opportunity to meet staff from overseas partners.
The events will be held at the following venues from 7.30pm:
EVENT TIMETABLE
Cardiff All Nations Centre, Friday 17th October
London City Temple, Saturday 18th October
Manchester King’s House, Friday 24th October

“We are very excited about Tearfund LIVE,” continues Graham Fairbairn, Tearfund Deputy General Director “and we hope that it will be an inspirational and entertaining evening in which Tearfund’s work will come to life so Christians can experience for themselves how active God is in a suffering world. We hope through the photography and videos that they will see the difference they are making to so many communities across the world.”
