Q. What do you like about working at Tearfund?
Working in a diverse team with people who are passionate about what they do. Getting involved in new initiatives.

Q. What keeps you working at Tearfund?
That no two days are the same. My day is never predictable. Every day has its challenges but that’s what appeals to me.

Q. What inspires you about working at Tearfund?
Seeing people turn tough decisions into prayer. Prayer is constantly at the heart of what we do and seeing God guiding our decisions and answering our prayers is great!

Q. What is it about the mission of Tearfund that appeals to you?
It is the approach that we take enabling churches to respond holistically to their local communities that appeals to me.

Q. Tell us about your time working in South Sudan.

It was my first field assignment and I thoroughly enjoyed working with a very diverse International and national staff team. The work was demanding but seeing the fruits of the efforts was very encouraging.

It took some getting used to living and working with the team in South Sudan. In community living you get to see your team members as they really are – a colleague who gets up at 5.30am each morning; the days frustrations thrashed out in a game of badminton; the vulnerable side of people.
