Right now there are debts cancelled, people protected, children alive – because Tearfund campaigners added their signature, their voice, their energy, their prayers.
By encouraging others to take part in Tearfund’s campaigns, you’ll play a vital role in encouraging other Christians to unite and call for justice with one voice.
There are two ways to get involved in helping us campaign for justice. First we can provide you with the resources you need, such as campaign postcards and template letters, to get your friends, your church and others speaking out for those who have no voice. You’d be part of a large group of campaign promoters based around the UK.
If you want to get more involved, you could perhaps consider becoming a constituency campaigner. We are currently looking for a group of people around the country who have the passion and the ability to mobilize hundreds of people and many churches in their area – to demonstrate the church’s prophetic role as a global witness for God’s justice.
We’ll provide you with training and resources to engage churches and individuals with issues of justice that are affecting those around the world. We’ll also be sharing some of our experience to help the church in your community engage with issues on its own doorstep.
We’re looking for people willing to make connections with local church leaders, rally the troops and liaise with local politicians. If you’re up for the challenge we’d love to talk…
