Donate in memory of a loved one

Find out how you can give a gift in memory of a loved one and leave a tribute to them in our Memory Garden

Donate in memory

Treasure the memory of a loved one

A gift to Tearfund in memory of your loved one will bring hope to people living in extreme poverty around the world. We will honour their memory by ensuring that your gift gets to where the need is greatest.

Add your tribute to our Memory Garden

When you give online, via our ‘donate in memory’ buttons, you will be given the option to leave a written tribute to your loved one, which will appear on our virtual Memory Garden.

Giving in memory FAQs

  • You can make a one-off online donation in memory of your loved one, and your gift will be used to help lift people out of poverty across the world. When you give online, you can include a message to be featured on our memory wall.

Click here to make a one-off online donation.

Your gift in memory can be posted directly to Tearfund, 100 Church Road, Teddington, TW11 8QE. Please include a short covering note, stating that the gift is given in memory, and giving the name and address (or just the name and the village/town) of your loved one.

If you would like to set up a regular gift in memory of your loved one, maybe to commemorate a special anniversary, please contact our Donor Care team at [email protected] or call 02039063906.

  • You can choose a challenge from our fundraising page, and on the sign up form, select ‘remembering someone’ from one of the drop-down menus. Then we can get in-touch and help you with anything you need, such as creating a JustGiving page for your fundraiser.

  • Asking friends and family to make donations at a funeral, or to donate instead of sending flowers, is a way to honour the memory of a loved one. Many funeral directors are happy to organise funeral collections and will often send us the donations themselves.

You can increase the value of your gifts in memory by using giving envelopes to provide friends and family with information about Tearfund and enable them to maximise their gifts. You can request giving envelopes online or by contacting the Donor Care team at [email protected] or call 02039063906
