Churches are at the heart of transformation.
Will you help them meet rising needs this Lent?
Where Kamona lives in Bangladesh, hunger has reached an alarming level, made worse by the climate crisis and the sharp rise in food prices globally.
Kamona struggled to feed her family, until her local church gave her training, tools and support through Tearfund’s partner, Baptist Aid.
Wherever extreme poverty exists, transformation through the local church is urgently needed.
My name is Kamona Biswas. There was a lot of chaos in my family then [before joining the Bible study group]. Through the Baptist Church, I, my children, and my husband study the Bible. When I joined the Bible study group and shared my sorrow with everyone, they discussed my problem and then Baptist Aid arranged for me to receive this fishing net on behalf of the Baptist Church. If I didn't get this net, I would have to go hungry. I have been able to keep my children alive and managed to survive because I got this net. I want us to live a healthy life, my children to study and improve in life, and for them to follow the path of Jesus.
Needs are rising for families like Kamona’s. Let’s help more churches bring transformation.
£72 could help a family like Kamona’s overcome hunger by providing vital tools including fishing Nets.
