Anti poverty lobby goes to government

17 October 2011

To mark the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty (17 October), MPs Fiona Bruce and Naomi Long joined Tearfund to hand in more than 10,000 postcards to the Department for International Development.

The postcards call on International Development Minister Stephen O’Brien to prioritise water and sanitation through the UK government’s aid programme.

Seen here from left to right are Sue Yardley, Tearfund Senior Policy Officer, Naomi Long MP, DFID Minister Stephen O’Brien MP, Fiona Bruce MP and Ben Niblett, Tearfund Head of Campaigns.
