SOUTH SUDAN - TECHNICAL LOGISTICS MANAGER

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Tearfund's Disaster Management team in Southern Sudan. We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager who will be part of the Programme Senior Management Team and responsible for the effective function of technical support to the programme (including fleet management, IT support, radio and satellite communications, and electrical supply). This post will involve significant amounts of training and development of national staff within the logistics function and other project staff with whom they will be working. It is expected then that applicants will be able to demonstrate previous success in training others.

HAITI: FINANCE MANAGER

Tearfund is initiating a new programme in Haiti and an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Finance Manager to implement and oversee finance systems and procedures.
The post holder will be an accountant with finance management experience. The role holds the responsibility of maintaining a reliable system of financial record-keeping, whilst ensuring that the Programme Director, project managers and Tearfund UK are kept up-to-date with timely and accurate financial information to enable them to monitor and manage the programme and its projects effectively.
Responsibilities include; maintaining a system of sound internal controls in order to safeguard Tearfund assets and mitigate against the risk of financial loss, providing support to the Programme Director and project managers in the preparation of proposals for submission to donors (particularly in the preparation of budgets), and contributing to the overall development of Tearfund DMT accounting systems and processes. The role includes ensuring that programme staff are compliant to Tearfund and donor financial systems and procedures, through training, mentoring and monitoring.
The successful candidate will be a team player who is both adaptable and willing to travel to project sites and live in basic conditions where necessary. The main purpose of the job is the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures across the programme and the provision of an HR support service to staff. The post requires travel to field sites in Haiti. HAITI: LOGISTICS MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to provide the logistical capacity to set-up, implement, manage and co-ordinate a Disaster Management Team (DMT) programme in Haiti. They will be responsible for co-ordinating and maintaining the logistics systems, and managing staff to ensure effective procurement and supply of goods to the programme as required. Other responsibilities will include ensuring a rapid and continuous access of supplies to projects; to cost out, order and maintain purchase records for all materials needed for the project. In addition, they will implement and maintain an adequate stock control system, set up and maintain communication systems, ensuring that systems are in operation 24 hours a day.
Good leadership and team management skills and experience, as well as good cross-cultural awareness and a genuine heart for the poor are essential requirements for this role. DR Congo - Public Health Promotion Advisor

An experienced engineer is required with proven overseas experience in the practical design and implementation of construction and shelter projects to provide expertise to Tearfund’s Disaster Management reconstruction work in Haiti.
The position will provide structural engineering advice and oversight to construction projects in the form of design, review and analysis of structural/construction drawings, project supervision and ensuring implementation of technical and humanitarian standards and specifications. The post holder will ensure quality/quantity of construction materials, monitoring and reporting.
