Advent Sessions

03 Dec 2020

We know that many of the ways we have celebrated Christmas in the past are on hold this year, but we are delighted to announce that Tearfund Scotland’s Christmas concerts will still be going ahead – live from the living room!

Throughout December, we’ll be hosting Advent Sessions 2020, bringing you four evenings of festive cheer to enjoy from the comfort of your own home.

We have a great line-up of talented singer-songwriters from across Scotland this year, including: Yvonne and David Lyon, Ashton Lane, Ellyn Oliver, and Unoma Okudo and Ifedade Thomas.

Our musicians will be performing weekly with a variety of Christmas songs and original music based on different themes of advent – hope, peace, joy and love.

The virtual performances will be hosted on the Tearfund Scotland Facebook page. They will each highlight a different area of Tearfund’s work and help raise money for our partners, bringing hope to poor communities throughout the world.

If your church normally has events in the run-up to Christmas which can’t go ahead this year, then you might want to let them know about Tearfund’s Advent Sessions, or even consider hosting a watch party on Facebook together?

All the details for the online concerts are below. You can sign up for notifications of the concerts you’d like to attend in the event section of our Facebook page. Or just head over to Facebook on the dates above and we’ll be going live at 8pm. You don’t even need your own Facebook account to join in!

So get your cosy slippers on, put your feet up, and grab a cup of something warm and tasty. And tune in to Tearfund Scotland’s Facebook page to enjoy some Christmas cheer with us.

We look forward to seeing you there!
