'Alan and Phyllis who passed away in 2002 and 2019 respectively, were longtime supporters of Tearfund as well as being involved with the Gideons for many years. Alan was a teacher and started his career working with Fegans Homes for orphaned boys in Stony Stratford, going on to become a headteacher of a junior school in Kent. They retired to Somerset where they became active members of Chard Baptist Church. They had a keen interest in mission throughout their lives. They are greatly missed by family and friends.'
