Derek Robert Coles

'I first met Derek some 45 years ago, when I was his student at Acton Probation Office. and though he joked that I had yet to pass the placement we worked together for many years. He was my tutor, my mentor, my colleague and my friend, and I could not have wished for a better one in any of those roles. He was equally respected by clients and his many friends in the courts and the local police for his humanity, integrity and willingness to help anyone who needed it.. I will miss him, as I'm sure will all those who knew him'
