'Dear Ann brought sunshine and joy into so many lives - just like these sunflowers. It was a joy to work alongside her and serve with Tearfund from 1986-1990 in North Africa. As a very small team we were family and church all rolled into one. Serving as a nurse and midwife in a poor rural area she was soon much loved by all who came to the village dispensary. Her warmth, sense of humour, love and humility endeared her to all the staff as well as the patients. She gave wholeheartedly of herself and was such a valued and much loved part of our team. We miss you on earth Ann but heaven will be rejoicing to have you there. XXX'
