Carol Ratcliffe

'Carol passed away recently, aged almost 80. She was the wife of our former longstanding Vicar, Canon Michael Ratcliffe - they ministered at St Paul’s, Oswaldtwistle for 29 years. Each year, during Lent, they organised a giving and fund-raising campaign for Tear Fund, therefore I thought it appropriate to donate to this charity in Carol’s memory. Carol was a lively, larger than life character, who particularly enjoyed working with young people. Her home town was Blackpool, where she worked in the Path Lab at the Hospital for many years.'
