Join the vision of the Jubilee Centre and spend two weeks supporting the local church to respond to the HIV/AIDS pandemic and economic poverty. You’ll gain an insight into HIV/AIDS prevention and poverty reduction initiatives, and support the work of the Jubilee Centre as they reach out to a network of churches across Zambia.
Through the Church Mobilisation Programme, the Jubilee Centre works with 80 churches in four economically poor communities, mobilising the leaders and congregations to enhance their response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic. This includes providing volunteer caregivers from their congregations and nutritional support to patients and families, as well as education and support for orphans and vulnerable children in their communities.
The Jubilee Centre also run HIV/AIDS Youth Action Clubs, which encourages discussion around HIV prevention and care within the group.
