How do I apply?
You can see all of Tearfund’s current vacancies advertised on our jobs pages online. At the bottom of each advertisement, you will find an ‘Apply Now’ button. This will take you through to the online application process for that job. Follow the instructions and complete each section.
Once you have finished and checked your application, you can press the ‘Submit’ button. You should receive an automated email acknowledging that we have received your application.
How do I know this is the right job for me?
You will find a full description of each role in the job profile.
At the bottom of the profile is a person specification. This details the necessary skills and experience for that particular role.
We shortlist applicants using this list of specifications, and how well you match them. When you complete your supplementary statement and submit your CV, make sure that you have addressed each of these points.
When can I expect to hear whether I have been shortlisted?
We aim to inform you whether you have been shortlisted within two weeks of the closing date for applications.
Can I send you my CV?
We’re not able to accept applications to work at Tearfund based on a CV alone.
Do take a look at our jobs page and see if there is a vacancy that interests you. If you want to apply, you will be asked to upload your CV, along with an application form for the job.
You can also sign up for our email job alerts, to receive the latest vacancies.
What does it mean that Tearfund is a Christian organisation?
Tearfund is a passionately and openly Christian organisation. Our faith isn’t just an add-on to our work: it informs everything we do – from regular times for staff to pray and praise together, to the way we understand and deal with poverty. You can read more about what we believe and how it impacts our work on the Tearfund website.
Can I do work experience at Tearfund?
Tearfund occasionally organises work experience placements. To explore this possibility, please contact our recruitment team by emailing recruitment@tearfund.org with a copy of your CV. Include a short message telling us about yourself and what you would like to do. We would love to know if there are issues or areas of Tearfund’s work that you are particularly interested in.
We also have an internship scheme which runs from September until May/June the following year. Opportunities are available in a number of different teams across the organisation.
We recruit interns between May and August each year and you will find full details on our jobs pages during this period. However, do register your interest today to receive email alerts whenever we post new vacancies.
