Pastor Ke Pich is a determined man. He survived the brutal rule of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia – sadly, his father died through lack of medicine. Now Cambodia is coming out of the shadows of its history, Ke Pich is determined his community in Tonle Batie will be able to raise themselves from the oppressive poverty they face.

‘I have been trained by Tearfund partner to be a church volunteer facilitator.’ says Ke Pich. ‘We want to get the church active to help people solve their own problems. Then we can share this knowledge with everyone in need in the village.’

Ke Pich is excited about this new challenge for the church in Tonle Batie. First they are starting income generating and money saving schemes within the church community – the next step is to open it up to the whole village.
