As Christians, we care about this planet and the people on it. We want to live in a world where God's creation is nurtured and people can reach their God-given potential – with clean air and water, green spaces, sustainable livelihoods and strong communities.

Sadly, however, climate change and nature loss are already affecting lives around the world, and hitting communities living in poverty first and hardest.

That’s why, on Wednesday 9 July, 2025, we’re collaborating with The Climate Coalition to bring together the largest UK climate lobby in history. We want to send a clear message to the UK Government that we need to act now to change forever.

I want to live in a country where people and nature can thrive together, with clean air, warm homes, green spaces and strong communities. And I’m not alone. Like most people across the UK, I believe that what we do at home matters for the people and places we love but also for communities around the world already experiencing the harshest impacts of climate and nature loss.

That’s why, as a Christian and as your constituent, I will be joining thousands of people to gather for a mass lobby in the UK parliament on Wednesday 9 July, 2025 for people, climate and nature.

Meetings will take place in secure venues between 9.30am and 5.00pm, grouped by region and organised by The Climate Coalition. I would love to secure a meeting with you, so please let me know if you are available to meet with myself and some of your other constituents that day.

Across the UK, people are already stepping up – restoring rivers, protecting local nature, creating warm homes, and building fairer, greener futures. As a Christian, I believe we are all called to care for creation and live in a way that honours our global neighbours. But we can’t do it alone.

This is a chance for the UK to step up – through partnership, fairness, and integrity – by supporting those most affected and playing our part in a shared global effort to build a safer, fairer, and more secure future for all. This is crucial for all of us to adapt, build resilience and thrive in the face of the climate crisis. Together, we must act now to change forever.

I know you’re busy, but there is overwhelming public support for climate and nature leadership. I, and many others in our constituency, want to work with you to build a better future for generations to come.

I hope we are able to meet on Wednesday 9 July to talk about this important issue.
