This week, give thanks and pray for our incredible fundraisers and supporters, who faithfully put the love of Jesus into action as they support people living in poverty across the world. We are so grateful for every one of you.
Sunday 9 February
Lord, we thank you for people like Mary, who has faithfully given to the work of Tearfund for many years. ‘We've been connected to Tearfund as long as we've been married, which is 46 years,' says Mary. Thank you, Lord, for the long-term commitment of so many Tearfund supporters which enables Tearfund partners to continue to help generations of people. Amen.
Monday 10 February
Imagine running four marathons in one year! Lord, we thank you for those who use their sporting gifts – like Chris Lloyd who ran the Milton Keynes, Edinburgh, Chester and Washington DC marathons last year – to raise money to support people living in poverty all over the world. Amen.
Tuesday 11 February
Catherine makes and sells her own jewellery at a local market and donates all profits to three Christian charities, including Tearfund. ‘Now that I'm retired, I wanted to use my hobby to serve the Lord by selling locally, and it has steadily grown!' Lord God, you give each of us gifts. Thank you for opportunities to use those skills to support your work. Amen.
Wednesday 12 February
Faithful supporter Osagie describes how he loves Tearfund's model of empowerment of communities. ‘Tearfund doesn't give a handout,' says Osagie. ‘They build steps so people can step themselves up. Brilliant.' Lord, may we be ambassadors for the message of hope, bringing renewal to communities across the world. Amen.
Thursday 13 February
Osagie describes how he decides to be generous with his money: ‘It's an expression of love. It's a way of setting yourself free from the hold of money and the hold of possessions.' Lord, help us to trust you when you call us to step out and be generous with what you have given us. Amen.
Friday 14 February
A beautiful piano recital by Tearfund supporter Mick raised over £2,400 for Tearfund's Summer Appeal last year. Music is a constant theme throughout the Bible. Take a moment to read Psalm 57:7 – let's worship and praise our heavenly Father.

There are so many ways that you can get involved with fundraising.
