  • There is no registration fee for the event as we are asking you to fundraise for Tearfund instead. Our suggested target is £200 per person - this could train eight self-help groups of 20 people in business and life skills, equipping them to lift themselves out of poverty.

  • Yes, the cycle is available to 14 - 17yr olds who have parental consent and will be accompanied (on the same route) by the parent/guardian.

  • Yes! We’d love you to involve your friends, family or church. Sign up by visiting www.tearfund.org/cyclethecoast and you can sign up as an individual or a team. Each team member should register online so that we have their details.

  • We recommend using a road bike, but the road quality is such that you should be easily able to complete the route on a hybrid bike. It is essential that you have the basic tools and inner tube replacements to do basic repairs on your own bike.

  • Yes we have a written format of the route that we can provide to you ahead of time on request. The routes will be marked clearly on the day and marshals will be in attendance where required.

  • Yes! There will be a dedicated support team on the day and cyclists will be starting together. Following the cycle there will be a BBQ lunch provided for everyone taking part in the event.

  • Tearfund uses JustGiving as an online platform for fundraising. Please encourage supporters to donate to your JustGiving page by sending them the link in a text, social media message or email. If this is not possible then please advise supporters to send cheques to Tearfund, stating the event and whom they are supporting.

You’ll receive your personal fundraising pack, with your Tearfund T-shirt and plenty of support as you get ready for your own big day!
