Home is… a place of hope and restoration
All around the world, homes have been shattered by conflict. Millions of people lack basic essentials, such as safe shelter, clean water and enough to eat. Hope for the future has become a luxury item.
But restoration is possible through Christ’s love.
When the conflict reached her home in Syria, Tamam made the heartbreaking decision to leave everything behind and flee to Lebanon. All she managed to take with her were her children and a few photos. Now they live in a makeshift settlement in an impoverished part of a big city far away from the place they knew and loved.
You and your church can help enable people like Tamam, who have lost their homes, to have a chance to feel safe and grow again.
You can find resources to download on this page. There’s a short video about Tamam, her life and her community, as well as a reflective slide show, posters and some brilliant children’s resources. All of these can be used for an online service.
You can order the church resource (three booklets, a poster and a sample giving envelope), additional posters and giving envelopes to be sent to you using the form at the bottom of this page.
Please note: these resources were created before the tragic explosion in Beirut in August. Our partners have been responding in the aftermath of the explosion, serving vulnerable communities in whatever ways they can. Taman was thankfully unharmed by the blast.
