Community Members Play Themselves In Tearfund TV Fundraising Advert

Christian international development agency Tearfund has been working with local people in Burundi to make a television advertisement for transmission from March 27 2023. 

‘We invited people from a rural community in Burundi where Tearfund is working through the local church to feature in our advertisement,’ said Jane Pleace, Global Fundraising Director at Tearfund, ‘because they had experienced our transformation work first-hand and could talk authentically about the positive effect it has had on their daily lives.’

The direct response television (DRTV) advertisement will invite viewers to donate to Tearfund’s campaign to raise funds for its work with churches in some of the most vulnerable communities around the world, providing the tools they need to reach their goals.
