The WE CARE Bible study resource helps churches, staff and partners explore the biblical foundations of accountability, safeguarding and compliance.
Through eight short Bible studies, the resource shows how themes such as protecting children, financial integrity, anti-fraud, codes of conduct, and safeguarding vulnerable adults are not simply organisational requirements but deeply biblical practices rooted in justice, dignity and care.
Each study includes a Bible passage, a short reflection, discussion questions, and a closing prayer, making the resource suitable for staff teams, church groups, facilitator training, workshops and personal reflection.
WE CARE is built around six core themes:
- Weaving, working together in partnership between churches, communities and organisations
- Enabling, building resilience and avoiding dependency
- Culture, embedding good practice into the regular life of churches and organisations
- Accountability, ensuring responsibility first to God and then to communities, donors and partners
- Respect, promoting dignity, safety and manageable good practice
- Everyone, ensuring that all people, including the most vulnerable, are included and protected
Together, these themes encourage churches and organisations to build cultures of integrity, safety and holistic care that reflect God’s heart for the vulnerable and promote trust, dignity and justice for all.
