Tearfund ICS

Placement Overview

Apply now to head overseas!

Tearfund ICS is a UK government funded programme that gives anyone aged 18-25 a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend 10 - 12 weeks volunteering abroad in Bangladesh or South Africa. Working alongside young in-country volunteers, you will contribute directly to genuine development projects.

It's an opportunity to experience another culture, challenge yourself and develop transferable skills to bring back with you. The 10 - 12 weeks volunteering could be part of post-school or college skills development, or a career break.

You don't need cash, skills or qualifications to take part in Tearfund ICS, just the ambition to make a difference.

On a Tearfund ICS placement you'll work closely with the local church, participate in devotions within your team and enjoy a chance to grow closer to God and develop your faith as you spend time with faith based organisations.

ICS is for 18 - 25 year-olds. But we're looking for fantastic, Christian team leaders. So if you're 23 - 35, why not apply?

We have ICS placement's departing throughout 2016 - Spring, Summer and Autumn. Make sure you apply at least two months before the departure month to ensure you get a place.

As ICS is funded by the UK government, ICS placements are only available for UK residents. If you live outside the UK, please consider our other programmes.
