  • Speakers' corner

We’re blessed by an amazing team of volunteer speakers – passionate people giving their free time to share about Tearfund’s work and inspire others to get involved. Let’s pray for them this week… ‘Please pray that we’ll follow God faithfully so our words have power and our hearts stays soft,’ says Matthew Rutter, a Tearfund speaker from Bristol. ‘Ask God to open the hearts of the people we speak to that they might see Jesus in the people and projects Tearfund supports,’ says David Corbett from Bexley. ‘The first service I attended as a Christian was a Tearfund service,’ says Scott Somerville from Scotland. ‘I’ve been inspired ever since by God’s simple and powerful model for making a difference in the world.’ Pray that God will use Scott and our other speakers to truly inspire others.

That's the only thing we can do at this stage.’ Tearfund partner PPSSP is ...

Thank God that we don’t have to be powerful or perfect for him to work through us, we just need to be open to him.
