Run to Beat Poverty

Poverty destroys lives. Join the fightback.

What is Run to Beat Poverty?

First step: choose your event. Anything from 5k to 5000k is brilliant. Here are some good ideas.

Next: consider getting some friends involved – you can keep each other encouraged on the road to ending poverty.

Then: once registered for your event, email our team or call 020 3906 3390 to fundraise for Tearfund.

It's a big ask to run 5km to help people living in poverty. But then again, Beth isn't your average six-year-old. This is Beth's story.

Why should I get involved?

Poverty isn’t going to end itself – each one of us has a part to play. Run with Team Tearfund and together, let's finish poverty for good.

Run for people like Tamam

By fundraising with us, you’ll be changing the lives of people living in desperate need. People like Tamam.

Armed conflict forced Tamam and her family from their home in Syria. Now they live in a cramped, dangerous slum in Lebanon. Life is hard, but there is hope. Tearfund’s local partner is in the heart of the settlement, providing schooling, trauma counselling and healthcare. Thanks to their support, Tamam can dream of a better life again.

£252 could help to provide three families like Tamam’s with life-saving support to rebuild their lives.
