Your money is in safe hands

Last year, more than 74,168 generous supporters trusted Tearfund to help people living in the most extreme poverty. By donating, fundraising and leaving gifts in your wills – you've helped to bring change in the places of greatest need.

Reasons to trust Tearfund

In our disaster work, it's our adherence to international standards and the quality of our response, reflected in the accreditations we hold and the endorsements given to our work.

In our work through churches, it's our commitment to transparency and accountability that gives donors certainty their money gets directly to the places of greatest need.

In our financial management, it’s the 75 pence (2023/24) in every pound spent on life-changing work in the poorest communities.

In our faith, it’s our commitment to follow Jesus where the need is greatest.

Where your money goes

We’re committed to making sure your donation has the biggest possible impact for those in greatest need.

Select the numbers below to see how every pound you donate is used.

  • That’s anything from an emergency shelter for earthquake survivors, to training that empowers a whole village to escape poverty.

  • Every penny we invest in fundraising helps us raise even more money to support life-changing projects and end extreme poverty.

  • We make sure your donation gets to where it needs to be, and that it’s being used effectively in over 50 countries.
