Volunteer in Bangladesh this summer and spend three months supporting Tearfund’s partner, Baptist Aid-BCFF, as they support the children of their community to thrive.
Tearfund has supported partners in Bangladesh since the late 1960s and currently partners with seven organisations across the country, building resilience in vulnerable communities, particularly in the area of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction and resilience.
Baptist Aid-BBCF is the aid and development arm of Bangladesh Baptist Church Fellowship (BBCF), the largest Protestant denomination in Bangladesh, and has been providing support to poor and distressed people since its beginning.
The main focus of Baptist Aid-BBCF is to help develop the children in the local community by providing education and establishing child rights. Baptist Aid-BBCF believes that a community thrives when the children of the community are fed, sheltered, educated, protected, valued, and loved. As a result they set up the 'Child Friendly Community Development Project' which focuses on establishing children's rights for education and acceptance into their community.
This is an amazing opportunity to live and learn alongside the staff.
