We are committed to ensuring digital inclusion for everyone. Our aim is to combine high levels of accessibility and usability, so that everyone can use our services, whatever their abilities. This comes from our commitment to help everyone involved with Tearfund – staff, partners, supporters, peer agencies, and communities we work with –  develop an understanding of how they can engage with others in ways that take their individual needs and experiences into consideration.

Our ongoing site development and content is guided by best practice web accessibility guidelines, including WCAG 2.2 AA.

Please note: our jobs portal is a separate website with its own accessibility standards.

Adapting your experience to your needs

We are always working to make our websites as user friendly as possible, but you may have a better experience if you change the settings on your computer to suit your individual needs.

For example, you may want to change the website’s colours, increase the text size, or have the text spoken aloud.

You can find help for customising your experience by using the accessibility features already on your computer, or by installing extra assistive technologies, on these sites:

Limitations of the websites' accessibility

Accessibility testing has helped us to identify some barriers on our sites. Examples are given below with a way to get past these while we work to resolve them:

  • PDF magazines – some users may have difficulty accessing these.  An HTML alternative is available on the website, which some may find more usable.
  • Other PDFs – PDFs across our sites may not be suitable for all assistive software users.  Please contact us if you need additional support and we will do our best to help you.

Please let us know if you need help

If you have a query about anything related to our websites, we are happy to help.

You can send us a message by filling in an online form: https://www.tearfund.org/forms/contact-us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Alternatively, you can call us on +44 20 3906 3906, or email us at [email protected]

If possible, please provide the information advised in ‘Contacting Organisations about Inaccessible Websites’ in your request. This will help us to understand and respond quickly.

All constructive feedback about the accessibility or usability of our sites is welcome and will be carefully considered.
