Pray for the climate

Pray with us

We are now in a climate emergency. More people are going hungry, extreme weather events are more severe and communities are being displaced. People are being pushed back into poverty and the damage to creation is accelerating.

As we contemplate the scale of the crisis, it’s important we keep our eyes fixed on the God of justice, who loves creation and brings restoration and peace – and help our friends and family to do the same.

Will you join us in a year of prayer about poverty and climate change?

HOST A PRAYER ROOM

Invite your church to pray about poverty and climate. Climate change can feel overwhelming, but with our helpful guide you can easily create a prayer room that helps your community to focus on praying for these big issues in an intentional way. Host a prayer room for a day or week in 2020 to unite with people all around the world praying for real change.

Join the prayer chain

Alongside our friends at Christian Aid and CAFOD, and people all over the world, we will fill every day with prayer for a world where everyone can flourish and creation can breathe easy again. From the start of Lent through 2020 and beyond, we need to pray and act for climate justice. Will you join us?

Fill in your details and book yourself, your church or your organisation in for a time of prayer. Once you've signed up, don't forget to share your booking to encourage others to get involved!

You can see where people have signed up to pray on the map below.
