A global injustice
At least one in three women will experience some form of violence in their lifetime. Tearfund is passionate about preventing sexual and gender-based violence and supporting those who have been affected by it. We believe that Christians and churches should be leading the way in speaking out against this injustice.
16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence is a global campaign which starts on 25 November, the International day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and finishes on 10 December, International Human Rights Day. Please join us for these 16 days as we lift up this issue to God, and be equipped and encouraged to speak up and take action.
Reflect, pray and act to help end violence against women
We have prepared a reflection and prayer guide which can be used in personal reflections and in group meetings. It includes more information about our work to address sexual and gender-based violence around the world, and has stories from some of the survivors that Tearfund is working with.
Please pray for the survivors who are the most affected by violence, for Tearfund as we respond, and for an end to sexual and gender based violence globally.
Warning: contains mentions of sexual and gender-based violence that some readers may find upsetting.
