One Table, One World

We are called to live and love as Jesus did, to stand with the most vulnerable, and refuse to accept that lives are being destroyed by extreme poverty.

So we can't stand by as more than 9 million people die from hunger and hunger-related diseases each year. Three million of them are children under five.

Tearfund follows where Jesus leads, to the hardest places, to the most marginalised and exploited people.

We help communities to tackle hunger, malnutrition and a lack of clean water. And we help them build food security and resilience against climate disaster, violence and conflict.

And we do all this by partnering with local churches and organisations at the heart of these communities – and with the support of people like you.

You can help end extreme poverty by hosting a One Table, One World meal and raising funds to help hungry families put food on the table. Gather friends around the table, learn more about global hunger and do something practical to help.

One Table, One World invites us to extend our table, to welcome Jesus and hungry families around the globe to eat with us.

Together, we’ll celebrate community, learn more about hospitality and make a difference for the world’s most vulnerable people.

You could organise a breakfast or a barbecue, a lunch or curry night. It’s up to you. Keep it simple and have fun!
