The people of Yemen are struggling to survive in what is currently the world’s biggest humanitarian crisis. Please support Tearfund’s Yemen Appeal – your prayers and gifts are urgently needed.
Over 24 million people need urgent aid, including safe water, food and sanitation. The country is on the brink of famine. Tragically, over 85,000 children have already died from hunger or disease since 2015.
With our partners in Yemen, we are already responding, following Jesus where the need is greatest to reach those who are most vulnerable.
We have been helping protect people from diseases such as cholera, as well as providing safe water, food, and seeds and tools to enable people to grow their own vegetables. But we need your help to reach more people before it’s too late. People like Samed*.
Father of four, Samed suffers from severe scoliosis, which means he can’t work. He and his wife were forced to send their children out begging. They had no choice if they were to stay alive.
Then local Tearfund partner began supporting Samed’s family with regular supplies of flour, beans, sugar and salt. Samed says ‘I thank God that our children no longer have to beg’.
£4 a month could provide vital emotional and social wellbeing support to one person traumatised by their experiences of war - your regular giving will help in crises like this around the world.
£46 could provide a family like Samed’s with a food basket, containing essential food and cooking items.
