You can make a difference where the need is greatest

Thanks to the generosity from faithful supporters, including gifts in wills left to Tearfund, we are able to bring tangible change in the places of greatest need.

Tearfund works through the local church empowering people to lift themselves out of poverty and into their God-given potential. Gifts left to Tearfund have a significant, long-lasting impact – enabling us to serve the most vulnerable by helping them to find a way out of poverty for good.

A gift in a will left to Tearfund allows us to continue working in the following ways:

  • Humanitarian response: we respond to disasters and conflicts, seeking to empower individuals and help strengthen communities and build resilience.
  • Community development: we work through the local church to help communities lift themselves out of the cycle of poverty.
  • Advocacy and influencing: we use our voice to influence the global church and governments to bring about fair and just policies for all.

Some of the other ways that a gift can leave an impact include: helping people who are facing the brunt of the climate crisis, responding to hunger and malnutrition, bringing economic empowerment, promoting peace, ending sexual and gender-based violence, and improving access to clean water and sanitation.

A gift in your will to Tearfund could make a massive difference to someone in need, enabling them to escape poverty and step into a brighter future. It is a gift that is both long-lasting and tangible, and that can impact generation after generation for years to come.
