‘Giving and generosity is an expression of love...it's a way of setting yourself free from the hold of money and possessions.’

How a group works

  • Typically a group consists of a minimum of 6 members.
  • Groups are formed in 2 ways. You could set up one with friends or family, or we will add you to a group we set up ourselves.
  • Members choose a group name to identify themselves from other groups.
  • The group assigns a leader who acts as a coordinator for group members.
  • Groups decide how long they want to be involved in the collective but we recommend a minimum of 1 year.
  • Based on the group’s passions, we provide at least 2 project proposals for the group’s consideration.
  • Each person commits to what they can contribute financially. The group agrees to a joint target (minimum £2,500 per year).
  • We provide project reports and other opportunities for the members to connect deeply with their project and causes.

What do existing group members say?

  • [Collective giving] has really enriched my giving. It's really impacted my perspective and my global focus. It's made the whole process of giving and generosity so much more meaningful and enriching.

  • It's been amazingly energising to spend time with other people who are passionate about the same things and want to pray for the same projects. I thought when we started it was about me committing to give money to something, but actually we are a team, so the best thing has been seeing that team grow in relationship together.
