She equips communities to respond to challenges like poverty and forced displacement. Praise God for her conviction and pray for ‘wisdom and protection for our team and partners working in high-risk areas.’
Monday 17 August
Ariel Diallo, Programme Support Manager in Mali, was inspired by the support given to families during the devastating 2024 floods. One elderly widow said, ‘What we received brought immense joy, hope and great relief to my family and to our whole community.’ Pray for peace and security in Mali, for wise governance, and for a good rainy season without flooding.
Tuesday 18 August
‘What keeps me going is seeing a community transformed when people get access to clean drinking water for the very first time,’ says Lukudu Salli, the Water and Sanitation Manager in South Sudan. He often faces
challenges when flooding occurs, when roads are cut off. Pray for his request for ‘lasting peace in South Sudan and for funding opportunities’ to support the most vulnerable.
Wednesday 19 August
Edouard Saidi Wakilongo, based in Goma, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, helps leaders achieve true transformation of the church and the community through their own initiatives. He is motivated by seeing communities’ ‘awakening’ and using their local resources sustainably. Pray for divine protection so that we may reach the most remote, forgotten and vulnerable communities.

‘My role means more than just a job to me. It is a commitment to justice, dignity and inclusion,’ says Lucy Osuo, a manager in South Sudan. She faces the challenge of working in deeply rooted patriarchal systems where shifting traditions face resistance. Pray for her request for ‘peace and harmony in communities in South Sudan.’
Friday 21 August
Grace Yao, an Influencing Programme Manager in West Africa, supports local churches through advocacy and training. She was recently moved by a group of women who formed a savings group that allowed them to meet basic needs like rent, food, education and healthcare. Pray for Grace’s request for peace and political stability in Togo and Côte d’Ivoire.
Saturday 22 August
Konaté Arsène, Programme Manager for Burkina Faso, says his ‘spirit of solidarity’ was sparked by helping hundreds of households build shelters after fleeing attacks. ‘This aid has helped restore our dignity,’ one recipient told his team. Pray for the improvement of the security situation in Burkina Faso’ and for the ‘strengthening global solidarity.'
