Sunday 27 September
Give thanks for Kabita, who moved from a place of destitution into a season of restoration after being part of a Tearfund Journey to Healing programme. After months of marital struggle and separation, she says, ‘Now we both, husband and wife are falling in love... God has turned my dark situation into light.’ Pray for her as she leads others through the same healing process.
Monday 28 September
Lord, we pray for Kanya, who faced hardship after her husband’s disability, which nearly forced her into risky work abroad. We thank you that through Tearfund’s partner’s Resilient Livelihoods programme, she gained skills like goat farming and carpet weaving to support her family. Pray for her continued strength to advise others not to lose hope, protecting vulnerable women and girls. Amen.
Tuesday 29 September
Pray for the courage of mothers, like the one in a remote Himalayan village, who stood by her daughter to seek justice after a sexual assault. Alongside her daughter, she moved to a new location. Lord, we thank you that this mother is now a paid licensed driver. Encourage her as she supports her daughter, who now lives independently.
Wednesday 30 September
Pray for the 24 families in Bethanchowk who lost everything to the monsoon floods last year. Lord, we thank you that Tearfund’s partner secured roofing materials for every household. As they rebuild their homes with these corrugated iron sheets, pray that they will find spiritual and emotional restoration after the trauma. Amen.
Thursday 1 October
Give thanks for the Sirjana Tole Committee and their work to restore the environment after devastating landslides. In June 2025, they planted more than 200 trees to stabilise the soil. Lord, protect their community from future floods and environmental degradation. Amen.
Friday 2 October
Lift up Pastor Chitra in Konjyosom. When disaster relief was not being delivered to families in greatest need, he intervened to make sure a more inclusive distribution programme was set up. He had already gathered detailed data on the most affected households. Pray for local leaders to have the wisdom and influence to ensure aid reaches those who need it most.
Saturday 3 October
Pray for church leaders like Purna, who’s championing financial transparency in remote districts. He says, ‘Without proper training in biblical stewardship, churches risk loss of trust.’ Lord, equip pastors like Purna with the technical skills they need to be pillars of hope in their communities. Amen.
