This Advent, we’d love to go on a journey together.

Throughout December, as we reflect on the weeks of anticipation before the birth of Jesus Christ, we’ll journey alongside characters in the Nativity, as well as some of Tearfund’s own staff around the world.

With daily prayer emails, we’ll do some deep dives into Bible passages around the Nativity to look at some of the physical, emotional and spiritual journeys we take with and to God.

We’ll also be taken around the world by our global staff as they share stories of communities whose journeys have led to real transformation in Jesus’ name.

What can we learn from Mary’s emotional journey after being told she would bear the Son of God?

What did it mean for the shepherds to hear about the coming of Christ and trust in God for this good news?

What journeys do the communities we serve go on as they lift themselves out of extreme poverty?

This Advent, we’ll be looking at all these questions and more. We’ll reflect on Bible passages, pray over extreme poverty and hear from our global staff about how God is working through Tearfund in communities around the world.

And we haven't forgotten the children! There will be plenty of activities to get them involved with the miraculous Advent story.
