The climate crisis is hitting those living in poverty the hardest.
For millions of people across the world, extreme weather events mean losing their homes, food and livelihoods. This is not God’s plan, and our climate campaigning focuses on tackling this injustice.
The church has a vital role, and Christians all over the world are rising up and playing their part. Through prayer and speaking out for change, we can love our neighbours across the world and build a fairer world that works for everyone.
This year, we have been calling on the UK Government to influence wealthier nations to deliver on their promises of finance for those living on the frontline of the climate crisis. Read our reflections from the UN climate talks (COP27) in November 2022.
Ask the UK Government to keep its climate finance promises.
A leaked document revealed the UK Government is set to break their £11.6 billion climate finance promise to vulnerable countries. To do so would be devastating for people living in poverty who are experiencing the worst impacts of the climate crisis.
Email your MP asking them to ensure the Government delivers on its climate finance pledges. Or sign our petition to tell Rishi Sunak that backtracking on the climate pledge would be an enormous betrayal of the most vulnerable communities in the world.
