The crisis in Sudan is deepening
Since the civil war began in April 2023, Sudan has been plunged into growing humanitarian need and the largest displacement crisis in the world today.
The needs are urgent:
- Millions of people have been forced to flee their homes to escape violence.
- Hunger is rising, and malnutrition has reached famine level in some regions.
- Ongoing conflict is affecting food production and supply chains.
- Access to safe water, shelter and basic healthcare is extremely limited.
- Aid delivery is made difficult by blocked roads and attacks on humanitarian aid workers.
- Women and children are among the most affected, and more than half of those displaced are children.
Sudan's crisis is not just continuing; it's deepening. We serve a God of justice and mercy, and we must use our voices to pray and demand action.
We can stand with our global neighbours in Sudan by calling on the UK Government to push for a ceasefire and increase aid funding.
