Our world has an urgent rubbish problem, 2 billion people have no safe way to dispose of rubbish. They are forced to live and work among piles of waste, which is making them sick, releasing toxic fumes, flooding communities and causing up to a million deaths each year. Take action for Plastic Free July by playing the Rubbish Bin-go. With 16 plastic-reducing challenges to try it's a great way to take small steps to respond to the rubbish problem, which is harming our global neighbours. You could do the challenges as a congregation and see how many you can tick off together.

Our world has an urgent rubbish problem, 2 billion people have no safe way to dispose of rubbish, and it’s people in poverty who are suffering the worst impacts of this rubbish problem. In March 2022, world leaders agreed to work together on the first ever international agreement to address plastic pollution. The third round of negotiations takes place in 13 - 17 November 2023, ahead of that Tearfund is organising a Rubbish Campaign Week of Prayer and Action to pray for the talks.
